Understanding the ins and outs of lawmaking can be a daunting task, but sharing your lived experiences with elected officials and their support teams can lead to laws that better serve everyone in West Virginia communities.

Participating in our democracy is one of the greatest opportunities that each of us has to make a positive difference — not only in our own lives, but in the lives of our families, neighbors, and fellow residents.

But change can’t happen without the proper tools. That’s why we’ve created the WV Citizen Lobbyist Handbook to help you learn key access points into West Virginia’s lawmaking process so that you can give voice to the opportunities, needs, and challenges you and your neighbors are experiencing.
